ASSIST and Web for Faculty
Welcome to UTPA’s online student and faculty services (ASSIST and Web for Faculty). With the new student information Banner system fully functional, it is time to retire the self service system that maintained student records for the University for over 15 years. Effective April 3rd the old student information system (VAX) will no longer be available through ASSIST.
Information for the VAX system (Summer 2008 and earlier) continued to be available in self service during the transition to the Banner student information system; however now that Banner is in its 2nd semester of operation, the data in the VAX system is no longer current. Please select the appropriate option below.

- Spring 2010 class schedule viewable in ASSIST.
October 19, 2009, Monday
- Spring 2010 - Mandatory academic advisement begins.
October 21, 2009, Wednesday
- Spring 2010 – Registration Bulletin available in ASSIST.
November 1, 2009, Sunday
- Emergency Loan Payment Deadline for Fall 2009.
November 2, 2009, Monday
- Spring 2010 – Registration begins by classification. Refer to pg. 1 in Registration Bulletin for the classification breakdown.
- Installment Plan Payment Due for Fall 2009.
November 12, 2009, Thursday
- Fall 2009 - Last day to drop or withdraw for the Fall semester. After this date student remains enrolled and receives a letter grade.
November 26-28, 2009, inclusive
- Thanksgiving Holiday. No classes.
December 1, 2009, Tuesday
- Installment Plan Payment Due for Fall 2009.
December 10-11, 2009. inclusive
- Study Days. No classes or final examinations permitted
December 12-18, 2009, inclusive
- Fall 2009 – Final examinations

- Fall Commencement exercises
